Porsche Diagnostics Adelaide Β· PIWIS Dealer System Β· Marleston SA
Warning light on your dashboard? Something is not right but you cannot explain it? Rennen uses PIWIS β the same diagnostic system used by Porsche dealers β to read what your car is actually saying. Not what a $40 code reader guessed.
A standard OBD reader reads maybe 20% of the data in your Porsche. PIWIS reads everything β PDK, PASM, PSM, air suspension, PDCC, all modules simultaneously. It is not comparable.
Engine warning, PDK warning, PASM light, PSM light, airbag light, service overdue, TPMS. PIWIS identifies the exact module, fault code and fault type β stored, current or intermittent.
Intermittent issues are the hardest to diagnose. PIWIS stores fault memory across all modules β if it happened once, PIWIS will have recorded it. This is where 30 years of Porsche knowledge and PIWIS data work together.
A PIWIS scan is the first step in every Rennen pre-purchase inspection. It exposes hidden faults, previous accident codes and module tampering that a visual inspection will never find.

PIWIS β Dealer Level
PIWIS (Porsche Integrated Workshop Information System) is the official Porsche dealer diagnostic tool. It reads all fault codes, live sensor data and module communications across every Porsche system simultaneously. Rennen Motorsport uses PIWIS for all Porsche diagnostic work.
Book a PIWIS diagnostic scan at Rennen Motorsport. Do not continue driving if the light is flashing or if it is accompanied by unusual sounds, loss of performance or changes in handling. Call 0412 888 441 to discuss your specific warning light before driving.
Yes. PIWIS records stored fault history even after codes have been cleared. If a fault occurred, PIWIS will have a record of it. This is particularly important for pre-purchase inspections where sellers may have cleared codes before sale.
Yes. A diagnostic fee applies for PIWIS scanning. This is confirmed when you book. If a repair is scheduled following diagnostics, the diagnostic fee may be applied toward the repair cost. Call 0412 888 441 to confirm current pricing.
PIWIS (Porsche Integrated Workshop Information System) is Porsche's own dealer-level diagnostic platform. It communicates with every module in a Porsche β engine, transmission, ABS, airbag, suspension, climate, infotainment, body control β at the same depth as Porsche Centre Adelaide. Generic OBD2 scanners read perhaps 20% of the available fault codes. PIWIS reads everything.
For intermittent faults β the warning light that comes on occasionally, the suspension that sometimes feels wrong β PIWIS's freeze frame data and module-level logging is often the only way to identify what is happening. Rennen uses PIWIS for every diagnostic job, not just as a fault-code reader but as a full system health check.
PIWIS is also required for calibration and coding after component replacement β adaptive cruise control, PDCC suspension, PTM transfer case, PDK clutch adaptation, and ride height calibration all require PIWIS procedures that generic tools cannot perform.
Engine warning light (yellow) β can indicate anything from a minor sensor fault to a serious engine issue. Needs PIWIS scan to identify. Do not ignore.
PDK/transmission warning β fluid condition, sensor fault, or clutch issue. Stop driving aggressively until inspected.
Suspension/PASM warning β air suspension compressor, ride height sensor, or PASM actuator. Vehicle may be sitting unevenly.
Battery/voltage warning β AGM battery failure is common on modern Porsches. Requires PIWIS coding after replacement.
Red warning (any) β stop driving if safe to do so. Call Rennen on 0412 888 441 immediately.
